Chapter 3, Highway Star Diner.

Sit on any of the three benches around the diner. Alfred falls asleep and wakes up without his hat.
Play on through the diner until the waitress asks you to find out what is making a mess of the bins behind the diner.
Go out the front door, turn right twice and go through both gates to the bins. The hat is there.

Sit on all three benches anyway, for Old Bones.
