Gifts for a Ghost Trophy in Ghost of Yōtei

Story progress leaves gifts at the gift altar of each region's main inn, and the game tells you when gifts are waiting. The main story alone makes 8 available, and all of them can be taken from one altar. The one at Yotei's Shadow Inn in Yotei Grasslands is to the left of the entrance. When fast travelling to an inn, you can choose its gift altar as the arrival point.
