Leon only, in his second ARK section, after Grace's. Lickers are crawling enemies with long claws and a long tongue, and Bioweapon Repository 11 and 12 hold many of them.

Shoot one Licker once so it comes for Leon.
Back away slowly and do not attack. Parry its claws with L1.
When it lashes out its tongue, press L1 just before the tongue reaches Leon. The hatchet cuts it off.

Lickers rarely use the tongue, so keep backing away and parrying until one does.

Watch out

A dull hatchet cannot parry. Sharpen it with L1 + before the Lickers.
