Simon waits in the Abyss, through the portal in the Golden Tree of Renoir's Drafts. Renoir's Drafts is entered by diving with Esquie at the spot in the water south, between Visages and Sirène. Fight him last, at level 99 (
Survivor).
- Phase one has four fast combos. Learn their timing here, as they come back.
- In phase two each sword combo has a second hit straight after it. Parry or dodge twice.
- All fight long he erases a fallen character unless something revives them at once, so equip Pictos that revive on death, such as Second Chance. He also steals your shields, and sets a character's health to 1 when he gathers Chroma around them.
- Below about half health in phase two he removes your whole active party, and your reserves fight on against even longer combos. Finish him before that. Keep Maelle on First Strike and Cheater, hold her level 3 Gradient Attack, Gommage, until he is just above half health, then Burn and Mark him and use it in Virtuose Stance.
Losing in phase two means starting the fight again, but you keep the experience.
