The ending of the quest of Ranni, the witch who lives in Ranni's Rise behind Caria Manor in northern Liurnia. Finish every step before the final boss.

  1. At Ranni's Rise, agree to serve Ranni. Speak to the spirits of her servants in the tower until she lets you leave.
  2. Defeat Silver TrophyShardbearer Radahn. His fall opens Nokron, Eternal City, through a crater in eastern Limgrave, west of Fort Haight. Take the Fingerslayer Blade from the chest at Night's Sacred Ground in Nokron.
  3. Give it to Ranni. She gives you the Carian Inverted Statue, and the seal on Renna's Rise, the tower north of hers, lifts.
  4. Take the waygate (a glowing portal) at the top of Renna's Rise to Ainsel River Main. Pick up Miniature Ranni, the doll on the coffin in front of you. Rest at the site of grace nearby and choose to talk to Miniature Ranni until she repeats herself.
  5. Go on into Nokstella, Eternal City. Past the Nokstella Waterfall Basin site of grace, a red phantom, the Baleful Shadow, attacks. Kill it for the Discarded Palace Key.
  6. Fast travel to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library, where you fought Rennala, and open the chest beside the arena for the Dark Moon Ring.
  7. Cross the Lake of Rot beyond Nokstella to the Grand Cloister, healing as you go: the lake rots you. Drop to the cloister's floor and interact with the coffin in the red water (). It takes you to Bronze TrophyAstel, Naturalborn of the Void.
  8. Past Astel, a lift leads up to the Moonlight Altar. In the Cathedral of Manus Celes, drop down the hole near the site of grace and follow the tunnel to Ranni. Put the Dark Moon Ring on her finger. The Dark Moon Greatsword she leaves counts for Silver TrophyLegendary Armaments.
  9. After the final boss, use the blue summon sign beside Marika's statue instead of the statue. Do it from your backup (Step 9 of the Guide and Roadmap).

Watch out

Never attack Ranni, Blaidd or Seluvis, and do not give Ranni the Amber Draught that Seluvis hands you. Any of these halts her quest.
