Complete the tournament at Fune's Refuge to unlock the Crimson Dye Merchant, then buy one item from his shop southeast of Fort Sakai. See A Few Splinters for the fights.

Finish the Mythic Tale The Legacy of Kazumasa Sakai for Sakai Horse Armor. Collect six Sakai Banners and exchange them with the horse armor dye merchant at the new banner marker on Iki's southeastern coast. To find banners, equip Traveler's Attire and select undiscovered Sakai banners from the map's tracking menu. You must claim a dye, not simply collect the banners. Neither purchase needs to be equipped.
