The 25 duels are the fights against named opponents with a large health bar. Finish the main story, all side tales, all Mythic Tales, and all occupied territories to encounter them.

In a duel you cannot use bows or Ghost Weapons. Use to break the opponent's guard and to attack while they are exposed. Dodge red-glowing attacks with instead of trying to parry them. Samurai Clan Armor, received in the main tale The Tale of Lady Masako, helps by reducing incoming damage.
