King Hrólf is the last of the Berserkers, optional bosses fought at gravestones across the realms (favour Fit for a King). His gravestone at King's Grave in Midgard's northeast opens once the nine others are beaten. Niflheim's is reachable only after the story. He is level 9. Before the fight:
- Upgrade your gear, attachments included, to level 9.
- Craft a Resurrection Stone at a shop (Special Items) and equip it: it revives you once.
- Set Options > Settings > Gameplay > Challenge Level to Give Me Story.
- Turn on Settings > Accessibility > Combat > Miniboss Checkpoints. If you die after he is at half health, you restart there with your stone back.
In the fight, his health is often covered by an elemental bar that only the right weapon breaks: the axe for fire, the blades for frost, one spear planted and detonated for silver. Double-tap L1 (shield bash) when he charges an attack with two blue rings.
