The nine Crater Hunts (seven Dragon Hunts, two Epic Hunts) are favours in the Crater, Vanaheim's hidden north. It opens after the main quest Creatures of Prophecy with the favour Scent of Survival: by day, follow Helka, an animal tracking a scent near Freyr's Camp, to the paper boat Freyr gave you, which takes you there. In the Crater:

Start in The Jungle (reached by night) and finish Return of the River, which floods the canyon and opens the rest.
In the Dead of Night needs night, Path of Destruction needs day. Switch the time at a Celestial Altar: one stands by the Freyr's Camp gateway and one in each part of the Crater.
