LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Guide & Roadmap

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight's platinum takes one playthrough, and nothing is missable. Radio towers in Gotham's nine districts mark almost all of the game's 674 collectibles.

1Gotham's story missions (10+ hours)
Each story level's two fixed characters can reach everything in it, and the Batcomputer in the Batcave, Batman's base, replays levels later. Leave the open world for after the story.
The story marks two good places:
- Reach a 99-hit combo against the Prologue's ninjas (The Strength to Fight).
- Smash everything in Chapter 1's Iceberg Lounge to keep up the multiplier on studs, the game's currency ("Never do it for free." and "I'm good with calculation.").
2Gotham, one district at a time (10+ hours)
1. Hack each district's radio tower as Batgirl to mark its collectibles and side activities.
2. Buy the Batcave's expansions, which hold some collectibles ("I own the place.").
3. Point at each district on the map (Touchpad) and clear what it lists ("Hopefully, because he's busy.").
4. Buy out Bat-Mite's shop and the garage in the Batcave (A Watchful Collector).
5. Find 25 of the 50 Bat-Symbols, which no tower marks ("The idea was to be a symbol.").
3What is left
Most trophies unlock as you play, but these might not:
- Stop every type of crime as it comes up ("Things have improved.").
- Buy all gadget upgrades of one character, not Batman (Wonderful Toys).
Any time lists the small ones.
Beyond the platinum: Mayhem Mode
Mayhem Mode is a paid expansion, and the platinum needs none of its 12 trophies. As the Joker and Harley Quinn, you break out of Arkham Asylum, then set off on Mayhem Runs from their hideout in the Amusement Mile: timed trips through Gotham where studs add time.
1. Save your first 500,000 studs for the Grapple Hook at Joker-Mite's shop in the hideout. Many rooftop objectives need it.
2. Finish the main builds of five runs, which ends the expansion's story.
3. Once the Planning Table in the hideout lets you choose a start, begin runs at Monarch Theater. Hero vehicles and the roadblocks of A.R.G.U.S., the soldiers guarding the city, stand close together there (Lost a Wheel and Lacking Agency).
4. Free escaped inmates during runs to hire as henchmen, five for each character (Full House).

Two good places on the way, for three trophies. The story trophies unlock by themselves.
1. Reach a 99-hit combo in the Glacier Fight
  Prologue, Infiltration: the Glacier Fight against the ninjas
  Throw three shuriken at one ninja to stun it, then attack it for a flurry of hits. Counter when the prompt flashes and dodge rather than get hit. If the combo breaks, quit to the main menu and continue to restart the fight.

2. Keep a stud combo going through the Iceberg Lounge
  Chapter 1, Carmine Falcone: the Iceberg Lounge level
  Spend Gold Bricks on Hyper Combo and Stud Magnet first if you have them. Once the rooms with security cameras begin, smash everything in each room and hallway without a break. Keep the multiplier above 1x for 60 seconds and collect 30,000 studs in one combo.

  Pause with :options:, choose Photo Mode and roll the camera past 20 degrees either way.

  Chapter 1, once you reach the Batcomputer in the Batcave
  Do not log in to the computer. Stand at it, open the screensaver list with the d-pad and pick any screensaver but the default.

  Early in the story, once you have two Gold Bricks
  Open the menu with :touchpad: and go to the skills. Each skill costs one Gold Brick.

  The tutorial has you place three. Stand on a studded LEGO floor area, open the customisation option and place two more.

  Challenges complete as you play. Cash one in at the computer beside the large Gotham mural.

  Bat-Mite is the game's shopkeeper. Any five suits, Red Bricks or decorations count.

  Once you own a Red Brick, from a story level or Bat-Mite's shop

  Once vehicles are for sale in the Batcave
  The garage is near the Batcave's entrance. The Batman '89 Batmobile costs only 1,000 studs.
