When a party member notices something buried, a mound of dirt appears on the ground. Dig it up with a shovel to find a chest. One shovel lies on the Roadside Cliffs, beside the main road near the crash site in Act 1, and traders sell them.

Mounds are common, so five chests come quickly once you carry a shovel. The ruins east of the crash site and the paths around the Emerald Grove have several.

Watch out

If a character cannot dig up a mound, hand the shovel to another party member and dig with them.
