Own every armour piece (the four from the Digital Deluxe Edition do not count). Most are crafted at Keeper's Shrines, some are boss rewards and a few drop at random from enemies. Two are missable in Chapter 4:

  • Venomous Armguard: in the first fight with the Venom Daoist, at Webbed Hollow > Pool of Shattered Jade, break all four of his arms before he dies. Stay behind him and use quick light attacks on his back. Freeze him with Immobilize, the first spell the game gives you, and fight with a weak staff so that he does not die before the fourth arm breaks.
  • Venomous Sting Insect Armor: crafting it needs the Deathstinger, which the Scorpionlord drops in Purple Cloud Mountain. Beat him before you enter Duskveil's arena.

Wukong's armour comes twice in Chapter 6, once with the story and once from a hidden chest, and both copies count. The Bull King set needs five Bull King's Iron Horns. The Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast drops three per run and a chest in Bishui Cave holds another, so beat the beast again in New Game+.

Watch out

If the Venom Daoist dies with an arm left, the armguard is missed until New Game+. The game keeps a single autosave, so the fight cannot be reloaded.
