Marvel's Wolverine Guide & Roadmap

Marvel's Wolverine's platinum takes one playthrough and has no hard trophies. Most of the work is finding the game's 102 collectibles, and the trophies tied to one spot in a mission come along on the same route. Nothing is missable: after the story you can replay any mission and keep what you collected.

  1. 1Logan's story, picking up everything on the way (15–20 hours)

    Play the 30 missions in order and collect as you go. No trophy needs a difficulty, so pick The Man, the lowest, on which you cannot be knocked out. Turn on Settings → Visuals → Collectibles and Interact Shader to see collectibles outlined.

    There are three collections, each with a checklist by mission:

    • Pick up the 68 Material Crates, which glow blue from afar (Silver TrophyCrate Collector).
    • Follow the blue scent trails to the 20 Whisky Bottles (Silver TrophyFull Barrel).
    • Follow the purple roots on the ground to the 14 Nightmare Doors (Silver TrophyPathways of the Mind).

    Each Nightmare Door leads to a Nightmare Trial, a short combat or climbing challenge. Bronze, the lowest rank, is enough in every trial. Reach Adamantium, the top rank, in any one trial for Bronze TrophyAdamantium Dreams.

    The story's trophy stops lists the trophies that need something done at one spot in a mission. Along the way, smash XP Caches, canisters that give experience, for Bronze TrophyCache Crusher. There are far more than 100.

    After the last mission, craft the 20 standard suits from the crates' materials, not the Deluxe Edition ones, for Gold TrophyAdamantium Armory.

  2. 2One last memory after the credits (5–10 minutes)

    After the story you arrive in the Nightmare Cabin, where trials and missions are replayed. If you cleared all 14 trials on Bronze or better, a 15th, Best There Is, appears as the figurine at the bottom right of the shelf. Clear it on Bronze, leave the cabin by the door that opens and follow the scent trail for Gold TrophyRepressed Memories.

  3. 3What is left (10–60 minutes)

    From the title screen, choose Nightmare Cabin and use the bed to replay any mission. Collectibles and experience carry over.

    Trophies you may not have yet

    Most unlock as you play, but these might not:

    • Replay missions with many enemies until you reach level 36 (Silver TrophyUltimate Predator).
    • Finish off enemies with the Helix Claws, an ability you get in Japan (Bronze TrophyCut Just As Deep).
    • Have Jean, your companion, blind enemies and take them down from stealth (Bronze TrophyBlindsided).
    • Kick an enemy onto something sharp, such as a forklift's forks (Bronze TrophyShish Kebab).

    These tasks follow the story's order. Any you miss can be done again by replaying the mission from the Nightmare Cabin bed. The collectibles have their own checklists.

    1. Read the garage journal

      At the far end of the industrial park, break the “Do not enter” barrier. Read the journal on the table to your right.

    2. Enter the door beside the river

      Beyond the industrial-park encounters, follow the purple roots on the left of the small river into the Nightmare Door.

    3. Kick a cybernetic soldier into the molten-metal vat

      Mission 6: Raise Some Hell (Canada)

      Enter the refinery via its left conveyor and vent. Alert the enemies in the first room, lure a shield-bearing Reaver to the open vat on the upper platform and hold Square to kick them in. Ordinary soldiers do not count.

    4. Kick three enemies through the aircraft openings

      Mission 13: Jetlag (Japan)

      After climbing back inside, bring enemies near the holes in the aircraft's sides and hold Square to kick them outside.

    5. Activate the bathroom's large face

      Mission 14: Get Angry (Japan)

      Inside the Sleepy Kiss bar, go downstairs and right into the bathroom. Interact with the large face and wait for its musical animation. Collect the Whisky Bottle it reveals.

    6. Break every claw machine

      Mission 16: In the Shadows (Japan)

      Investigate the secret room behind the arcade's rear machine. Return to the arcade and smash all claw machines once the fight begins, or after defeating the enemies.

    7. Cut the model Saturn's support

      Mission 18: We Were Wrong (Japan)

      In the model-planet room, take the left side and silently eliminate the guard. Cut the supporting rope while enemies stand beneath Saturn.

    8. Destroy the market stalls

      Mission 25: Red Right Hand (Madripoor, second visit)

      At the beginning of the market fight, slash every vendor stall before progressing the encounter.
