Buy Perfect Parry in Techniques → Samurai → Deflection. In combat, tap L1 just before a strike lands, then immediately press or to counterattack. The counterattack must kill the enemy, not merely damage them. Weaken tougher enemies first or use an upgraded katana against the lightly armored enemies in Izuhara, the southern region.
