An Unholy Assassin is a rank in the murder cult of Bhaal, and any character can earn it in Act 3. It comes from the murder investigation in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. Save before the last step if you would rather reload afterwards.
Spoilers: the investigationShow
- Start with the murders at the Open Hand Temple. Kill the doppelgangers in the cave beneath the temple and take the key with a flower on it.
- The key opens a wardrobe in the attic of Fraygo's Flophouse. Read the bloodstained parchment in the hidden room behind it: it lists the next victims.
- Stop the murderer, Dolor, when he strikes at the wine tasting or at the next victim on the list. His body has the password and a bag of hands.
- At Candulhallow's Tombstones, move the painting in the back office, press the button and speak the password.
- Show a hand to Sarevok, who leads the tribunal. Gortash's hand is best if you have killed him (see Fancy Footwork). A hand you did not take yourself needs a Deception check.
- Follow him to the side room and kill Valeria, the creature he offers you.
The trophy unlocks when you bathe in the blood.
