Scratch the dog and the owlbear cub both have to live at your camp, and then the trophy comes from a camp scene with both of them. Get Scratch first (Bronze TrophyFetch Quest), then the cub:

  1. Go into the owlbear's cave beside the Blighted Village in Act 1. Get past the mother with an Animal Handling, Survival or Performance check, or kill her. Never harm the cub.
  2. After a long rest the cub is in the goblin camp, where the goblins use it for a game of chase. Get it free before you fight the goblins: persuade or intimidate the goblin running the game, or buy the cub.
  3. The cub then visits your camp during long rests, three times. Help it each time: feed it when it is hungry and tend it when it is hurt (a Nature, Medicine or Survival check). A Potion of Animal Speaking makes these talks easier.
  4. Pet Scratch and the cub whenever you are at camp.

On the third visit the cub is with Scratch. Pet Scratch, then pet the cub.

Watch out

The visits only come with long rests. Partial rests (with no supplies) move the nights along without using up food.
